I, like many people have ideas and thoughts that pop into my head.
I have decided to write down (the ones that are publishable and legal), so I don’t forget them and they may be of assistance to you.
There is a great book called ‘The Art of Creative Thinking’ by Rod Judkins. It is an excellent resource if you want ways to increase your creative thinking and also to see the reasons why you are unlikely to expand your creative thinking.
One that has struck me is ‘plan to do nothing’, don’t allow my brain to distract me by giving me something to do, even if that something is productive and does tidy up the spare bedroom.
What I found happened when I have done this is that my brain focuses on the essential matters in my life and not urgent ones. I find a new option for challenges that have stumped me, the things I can’t see when I am in the middle of it all.
I must admit this does sound counter-intuitive, but it does work, I find I come back to look at something with fresh eyes and renewed determination and new options.
So ok with the spare bedroom is still a mess and my sock draw still unorganised, but I did find a solution to my approach to the COVID lockdown.
